DOT Maintenance Facility

This project consisted of the partial demolition, new construction, and renovation of an existing repair and maintenance facility located on Banner Drive in Milford, Connecticut. Building work for the single story facility consisted of the demolition of office, bay, and stockroom spaces, the construction and renovation of 11 repair bays, 1 repair weld shop, 8 electrical bays, 1 electrical repair shop, 15 maintenance bays, a stores stockroom, an office area, and a support area for the mechanical-sprinkler-electrical-communications-brine equipment rooms. The building is steel frame construction with exterior steel siding and brick.

Site work associated with the project included the installation of a new fuel island and associated support facility infrastructure.

Environmental and hazardous material work associated with this facility included polluted soils and groundwater. The project also included lead, asbestos, and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) abatement removal and disposal.
