Mill Ridge Middle School
This $13.5 million dollar project is the 1st Phase of the conversion of an existing elementary school, into a middle school. Rizzo Corp along with our subcontractors will transform this building into a new space where children can learn in a new and updated environment.
Approximately 1,000sf of additions will be added to the existing 61,400sf of building space. The entire school will be updated and in line with new life safety and accessibility codes. The lay out will be reconfigured, new finishes, roof, windows, as well as mechanicals, updated electric and data work and a renovated Gym with new equipment will be added. The exterior is being renovated to add a new student drop off area, separate parking area, new drainage system, updated utilities, new plantings, curbs, sidewalks and paving.
Rizzo Corp as the General Contractor will oversee the work and assist the City in the required paperwork to recoup the State funds to offset the costs of the job to the City. We will also coordinate the various trades and schedule the work to finish the job on time and on budget in time to allow the City to perform Phase 2, fit up the school with new furniture and equipment in time for opening Fall of 2014.
