As general contractor, Rizzo Corporation constructed a three tier parking lot, relocated employees and began construction of a 40,000 sf addition to an existing 42,000 sf corporate headquarters on the west side of Danbury. Rizzo excavated and stockpiled site soils in preparation for building construction. Site soils were screened and tested for disposal and reuse. The site was graded into three tiers and storm water controls were installed. Slope stabilization was performed and erosion controls were installed. This addition included approximately 25,000 sf of state of the art manufacturing facilities along with a 15,000 sf high-tech office and training center. The existing 40,000 sf building was renovated and the old exterior wall was removed. The addition was done in multiple phases in order to keep the existing plant in continuous operation and maintain the dust-free environment.
