Rizzo Awarded $15.8 Million Hartford Office Fit-Out

The Rizzo Corporation was awarded the contract to fit-out a 26-floor office building on Hartford’s Columbus Boulevard that started in the fall of 2015. The work is scheduled to take about 18 months.

The renovations to 450 Columbus Boulevard are estimated to cost $15.8 million in two buildings on the property. The owner of the project is the state of Connecticut. The construction manager is the Morganti Group, Inc. The state of Connecticut is planning to consolidate offices into this building, once it is renovated. It is gutted today.

The architects are Tecton Architects, and the property is about 515,000-square-feet in size. The use will be office space, and Rizzo bid the work as a general trades package.
