Rizzo Founder Honored as Grand Marshal

September 7th, 2022, kicked off the first annual San Gennaro Festival in Danbury, CT.

On opening night, Anthony Rizzo Sr. was honored with the title of grand marshal and lead the procession of Saint San Gennaro. The evening started with a small blessing at St. Peters Church, where the statue was then taken to the festival located at the Danbury Green. It then remained there for the duration of the San Gennaro Festival. The festival was filled with vendors from local restaurants, shops and companies. There were also rides and games for the children, as well as live music and a laser light show. It was truly an amazing time and one for the books. We are so honored for Anthony Rizzo Sr. to have been recognized, and we hope the festival will become a yearly occurrence in Danbury, CT.
