Winters Brothers Earns Certificate of Occupancy

The final paving is complete and the new 22,000-square-foot construction debris recycling and sorting building at Winters Brothers earned its certificate of occupancy this week.

The new building includes a sorter where people will pick through construction debris and separate out any material that can be sold and recycled, thereby cutting down on the amount of trash that goes to a landfill. The debris for disposal falls to the floor, where bucket loaders will pick it up and drop it into rail cars. The building includes a new rail spur for this purpose.
