This project was to construct a new 34,158 sf  building to provide hospice services, including ancillary departments, family and visitor areas, in a home-like setting. Site work was included in addition to installing a new  heating and cooling system, which is state of the art and highly energy efficient. Rizzo was the General Contractor, and all trades were subcontracted. Rizzo provided  construction management, general administration, architect, owner and contractor coordination, project scheduling, and accounting.

The new building is licensed as a specialty hospital and includes 12 private patient suites; a family kitchen; chapel; library; living rooms and common gathering areas; spa with massage therapy; Reiki and hair salon; patios and a meditation garden. The Regional Hospice center houses the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children and Families. Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day to visit and stay with their loved ones.
