The Summit at Danbury

Rizzo Corporation is currently working with Summit Development to create The Summit at Danbury, a 1.2 million sq. ft. complex of unique office, retails and residential space situated on 100 acres of beautifully landscaped property, just off of I-84 and I-684 in Danbury. The Summit currently provides Class A office space at the lowest rents in Fairfield and Westchester counties. Just north of the New York State line, close to major highways and Metro North Train Stations, the property is suited to be quickly accessible to the entire region.

Most recently known as The Matrix Corporate Center, the property was original built in 1982 as the headquarters of Union Carbide for their 1980 relocation from 270 Park Avenue in Manhattan.

Summit Development plans to repurpose the building into 700,000 SF of Class A office space, 400,000 SF of residential apartments, 100,000 SF of conference and event space, and 100,000 SF of core services and amenities. In addition to a complete overhaul of the common spaces and amenities, including a striking re-design of the internal entry drive, full-service restaurant, and state-of-the-art fitness center, future plans include conversion of a portion of the building to residential apartments. Adjacent to The Summit at Danbury, more than 2,000 housing units have been built with additional units in the works, offering a range of convenient housing options to those working at the complex.

Rizzo Corporation, as the construction manager, is working with Summit to perform office and common area buildouts, site reconfigurations, MEP upgrades, permitting, development studies, and pre-construction services which include budgeting, value engineering, constructability review, and schedule development.
