Danbury Walk for Arthritis 2018 Raises $51,873

The Walk to Cure Arthritis is the largest arthritis gathering in the world, celebrating warriors and raising funds for research, resources, and a cure. Several years ago, Rizzo, a sponsor of the event and an enormous supporter of the Arthritis Foundation, formed a team for the Walk to Cure Arthritis to help the more than 50 million Americans and 300,000 children with arthritis live better today and to keep the Arthritis Foundation’s promise of finding a cure for tomorrow.

Rizzo’s team, Ryan’s Warriors, walked on Sunday, April 29 and raised over $11,000, making it the top team of the event! Altogether, Danbury’s walk raised $51,873 for a cure, commemorating this year’s honorees; Sanjay K. Gupta, MD, Chief of Orthopedics at Danbury Hospital, Corporate Chair; Alla Rudinskaya, MD, Medical Chair; Tracy Tenesaca, Rheumatoid Arthritis Adult Honoree; and Halle, Idiopathic Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Youth Honoree.
