Tony Rizzo Sr. and wife Joan met Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States, on May 23, 2018 in Groton, CT.

Pence, in town as the keynote speaker for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy 's 137th commencement ceremony, took time to meet those in attendance, including the Rizzo Companies' founder. Just over 200 cadets graduated last Wednesday.
